Day 1 - Departure for Georgia

Arrival in Kutaisi. Pick up from Kutaisi international airport. Hotel accommodation and overnight. Kutaisi – Land of legendary Golden Fleece. Elegant, tree lined streets with 19th century houses, along with several attractive parks, make Kutaisi a very beautiful place to stroll around and take in the many sights.

Day 2 - Kutaisi – Prometheus caves – Zugdidi – Becho

Explore Prometheus Caves – one of Georgia’s natural wonders. Then continue towards Svaneti – the most exciting part of your trip, the region of the highest mountains and glaciers and the most abiding ancient traditions.

Day 3 - Becho – Ushba Glacier – Mestia

Walk through the forest for the beautiful Mountain Ushba. The spectacular walk will take us to the waterfalls where we can enjoy the magnificent views of the Ushba Glacier. On the way back drive to Mestia – centre of the Upper Svaneti, dotted with picturesque Svan towers.

Day 4 - Mestia – Lakhiri – Mulakhi

Start trekking towards Mulakhi village through the village of Lakhiri. Trek over the blooming flower meadows and along the rhododendron bushes with the views of the Tetnuldi Mountain (4800 m), the mountains Banguriani (3885m) and the famous mountain Ushba (4700m).

Day 5 - Mulakhi - Adishi

Start trekking towards Adishi village – a small, original and authentic village situated in the middle of the mountains of the Greater Caucasus – between Ushguli and Mestia. The village is far more untouched and less frequented by tourists than other villages.

Day 6 - Adishi – Iprali

Start walking through the long alpine valley with its characteristic landscape of green meadows. We climb the Chkhutnieri pass, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the entire scenery between Tetnudi and Shkhara mountains. Finally, we arrive in Iprali.

Day 7 - Iprali – Ushguli

Discover Ushguli. Located at an altitude of 2 200m this village is considered to be one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements in Europe. Ushguli is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is where you get the view of the highest mountain in Georgia – Mt. Shkhara (5 068m).

Day 8 - Ushguli – Shkhara – Mestia

Start hiking tour in a beautiful wide valley along the Enguri River towards the bottom of the glacier of Shkhara Mountain (5 068 m.) – the highest mountain in Georgia, up to the place where the river Enguri originates (2 800 m).

Day 9 - Mestia – Martvili – Kutaisi

From the Great Caucasus Mountains, we descend to the subtropical coastline of palm trees, citrus groves and tea plantations. Visit Martvili Canyon and explore mountain river gorge, limestone natural bridges, overview platforms, waterfalls.

Day 10 - Kutaisi – Gelati – Departure

Proceed to Gelati Monastery Complex and Academy (12th century) once a major centre of enlightenment in Georgia. The complex is UNESCO World Heritage site. Then transfer to Kutaisi International Airport and departure.

After exploring important architectural sites, discover the old and traditional art of winemaking and enjoy a degustation of different types of wine produced with native species of Kakheti region.

Day 4 - Kurdgelauri – Tsinandali – Shumi – Sighnaghi

Visit Tsivis Kveli factory which produces 11 different kind of cheese with 70 varieties, sulguni (smoked), cottage cheese, butter. Proceed to Tsinandali – a village noted for the estate and its historic winery. Afterwards continue to Sighnaghi – town that opens to visitors the magnificent views of the Great Caucasus.

Day 5 - Ananuri – Stepantsminda – Gergeti – Gudauri

Start our scenic drive up through the High Caucasus Mountains across the Cross Pass (2 395m.) that brings us to Stepantsminda – main town in Kazbegi region. Visit Gergeti Holy Trinity church stunningly located on a hilltop overlooking the surrounding snowy peaks of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, including mount Kazbegi (5047m.).

Day 6 - Gudauri – Saguramo – Mtskheta

We visit village Saguramo and its winery where we have culinary masterclasses of making Churchkhela – a traditional sausage-shaped candy. Afterwards head to Mtskheta – an ancient capital of Georgia, important religious center and city-museum which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Day 7 - Departure

Day 3 - Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Uplistsikhe – Gori – Tbilisi (210 km)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mtskheta – an ancient capital of Georgia, important religious centre and city-museum which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Along the way we will stop to visit the Jvari Monastery (6th century). This well-known monastery is located on the top of the mountain, at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Then head to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta with souvenir shopping possibility. Then drive to Gori – the birthplace of the Soviet leader Stalin. Photo-stop at the museum of Stalin and proceed to the cave town Uplistsikhe (1st millennium BC) – one of the first cities in Georgia carved into the rock. The caves were the site of pagan rituals, before Georgia became a Christian country. In the evening return to Tbilisi. Hotel accommodation and overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 4 - Tbilisi – Vardisubani - Alaverdi – Gremi - Tbilisi (260 km.)

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Kakheti region – Georgia’s premier wine-producing area as well as home to hundreds of historical and architectural monuments. Head to Vardisubani village and attend Qvevri making process. Meet the local craftsman who is a fourth generation Qvevri maker, and his son continues the tradition. The visitors can observe the whole process of making a traditional Qvevri (egg-shaped earthenware vessel in which wine is fermented and stored in villages and towns throughout Georgia. UNESCO Intangible Heritage since 2013). Afterwards visit Alaverdi Monastery. It was built in 11th century and was one of the tallest structures of the time. The surrounding courtyard is home to vineyards from which local monks make their own wine. Wine degustation and lunch in the local family. Afterwards drive to visit fortified complex of Gremi (16th century). Gremi was the Capital of Kakheti Kingdom (1466–1616 years). It had booming cultural life, but because of internal strife and the invasion of Shah Abbas, the town was destroyed. In the evening drive to Tbilisi.  Hotel accommodation and overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5 - Tbilisi – Ananuri – Kazbegi – Gergeti Trinity Church – Gudauri (190 km.)

After breakfast start our very scenic drive up through the High Caucasus Mountains along the Georgian Military Highway towards Kazbegi region. En route visit Ananuri architectural complex (17th century) overlooking a reservoir on the Aragvi River. On the way we will drive across the Cross Pass (2 395m.) and along the Tergi River that brings us to Kazbegi – main town in this region. From the centre of Kazbegi a leisurely 4 hours walk through beautiful valleys and woodland that leads us to Gergeti Holy Trinity church (14th century), stunningly located on a hilltop (2170 m.) both overlooking the surrounding snowy peaks of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Here we will enjoy unique nature with beautiful panoramic views of Caucasus, including mount Kazbegi (5047m.). Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight in Gudauri. (

Day 6 - Gudauri – Borjomi – Rabati - Akhaltsikhe (300 km.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Borjomi famous for its mineral waters. Visit mineral water park, quick stroll and savour the famous water of Borjomi. Then drive to Akhaltsikhe. Visit Rabati castle. Day 7 - Akhaltsikhe – Khertvisi - Vardzia – Paravani – Poka – Tbilisi (280 km.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Vardzia – the magnificent cave town of the Golden Age. En route photo-stop at Khertvisi Fortress (10th century).  On the way we visit beautiful Poka Convent – the establishment of Poka Monastery is credited to St. Nino of Cappadocia who is said to have brought Christianity into Georgia. As a result of invasions in the 17th century, cathedral was destroyed but you can still see the remains of the original stone church, including fragments of the original frescos Arrive in Vardzia (12th century). The cave complex stretching over half a kilometre once was a hiding place for 50 000 people. It has got a church hewn out in rock with unique 12th century frescos. The complex also includes dwellings, quarters, small hall – type churches, refectories, wine cellars, etc. Lunch in the local farmer’s family. Drive back to Tbilisi. Day 4 - Yerevan – Lake Sevan – Garni – Geghard – Sevan

Depart to Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater alpine mountain lakes in the world. Then drive to Garni Temple – the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. Then drive to Geghard monastery inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage list.

Day 5 - Transfer to Georgia - Tbilisi City tour

Day 9 - Sheki – Shemakha – Baku

Day 10 - Baku city tour – Gobustan

We will start our excursion from Alaverdi monastery. It was built in 11th century and was one of the tallest structures of the time. The surrounding courtyard is home to vineyards from which local monks make their own wine. Afterwards we have possibility to see Gremi monastery complex. You will have lunch, wine degustation there and culinary masterclasses of making Georgian bread and Churchkhela – a traditional sausage-shaped candy originating from the Caucasus region it is a very popular food, combining two of Georgia’s favourites – grapes and nuts. Made by repeatedly dipping a long string of nuts in concentrated fresh grape juice it is delicious and nutritious. Afterwards drive to Sighnaghi – a small beautiful city that opens to visitors the magnificent views of the Great Caucasus Range. This little town is a rare example of historic city which kept its style during the centuries with open traditional balconies, unique fortress with churches built in it and towers. Day 4 - Dedoplistskaro – Khornabuji – Takhtitefa – Dalis mta (100 km.)

After breakfast drive to visit Khornabuji castle – also sometimes known as the Castle of Queen Tamara, is an ancient castle in the eastern part of Georgia. Arrival at the Vashlovani National Park. After some entry formalities visit the park – famous for its unique landscapes, the panoramic points on the tops of the hills that open up the boundless scenarios. The park has a splendid desert landscape and semi-desert steppe vegetation and pretty forests. Here we will explore Takhti Tepha – the mud volcanoes. Day 5 - Dalis mta – Chachuna – Central Vashlovani – Tbilisi (270 km.)

After breakfast, visit Chachuna Managed Reserve. The territory is famous for flood plain ecosystems, arid light forests, semi-deserts, steppe plants. Day 6 - Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Gergeti Trinity Church – Kazbegi (190 km.)

After breakfast drive to Mtskheta – an ancient capital of Georgia, important religious center and city-museum which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Along the way we will stop to visit the Jvari Monastery (6th century). This well-known monastery is located on the top of the mountain, at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Then head to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta with souvenir shopping possibility. Then start our very scenic drive up through the High Caucasus Mountains along the Georgian Military Highway towards Kazbegi. En route visit Ananuri architectural complex (17th century) overlooking a reservoir on the Aragvi River. Drive across the Cross Pass (2 395m.) and along the Tergi River that brings us to Kazbegi – located in the middle of glorious & breath-taking beauty of the Caucasus, at the bottom of Mount Kazbegi (5 047m.), it is a main town in this region. From the center of Kazbegi 4×4 drive through beautiful valleys and woodland that leads us to Gergeti Holy Trinity church (14th century), stunningly located on a hilltop (2170 m.) both overlooking the surrounding snowy peaks of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Here we will enjoy unique nature with beautiful panoramic views of Caucasus, including mount Kazbegi (5047m.). Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight in Kazbegi.

Day 7 - Kazbegi – Juta – Chaukhebi – Gudauri (50 km)

Breakfast in the morning. 20-minute 4X4 drive on the unpaved road through Sno Valley will bring us to the village of Juta – located right in the middle of the breath-taking Sno Valley is one of the highest settlements (2150 m) in the municipality of Kazbegi. This is the starting point of one of the most beautiful routes which reaches up to 2550 m. at the bottom of Mount Chaukhi (3842m) – cliffy and gorgeous mount range, popular among alpinists and hikers. Here we stop at the small lake and have picnic. After some relaxing hours, we will return with the same route to the Juta village. Return to Stepantsminda by 4X4 vehicle. Dinner and overnight at the local guesthouse in Gudauri.)

Day 8 - Gudauri – Rafting in Pshavi – Kutaisi (310 km)

After breakfast drive to Pshavi region where you will enjoy Rafting on Aragvi river. Rafting in Georgian will give you the kind of spine-tingling thrills that only close encounters with nature can produce. With inflatable boat on the rivers of mountains is joyful adventure and at the same time, some kind of challenge. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kutaisi.

Day 9 - Kutaisi – Zugdidi – Enguri – Mestia (250 km.)

After breakfast drive to explore magnificent Svaneti – the most exciting part of your trip, the region of the highest mountains and glaciers and the most abiding ancient traditions. En-route photo-stop at Enguri hydroelectric station. Arrive in Mestia – center of the Upper Svaneti. Located at an elevation of 1,500 meters in the Caucasus Mountains, it is a conglomeration of at least 10 hamlets, dotted with picturesque Svan towers. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mestia.

Day 10 - Mestia – Ushguli – Zuruldi – Mestia (90 km.)

Breakfast at the hotel. A three-hour 4X4 drive to the village Ushguli. Located at an altitude of 2 200m this village is considered to be one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements in Europe. Ushguli and generally the whole Upper Svaneti region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village is most famous for its abundance of watchtowers and this is where you get the view of the highest mountain in Georgia – Mt. Shkhara (5 068m). Visit Lamaria church – small basilica built in the 12th century famous for its frescoes and defensive tower. Drive back to Mestia. From Mestia 1.5-kilometre-long ropeway will take you to Mount Zuruldi. This mountain is well known for its unique views of the white slopes of Tetnuldi and the Caucasus mountains range. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mestia.

Day 11 - Mestia – Batumi (270 km)

Day 12 - Batumi – Botanical Garden – Batumi (60 km)

After breakfast at the hotel start to explore a rich and varied history of Batumi – a Black Sea resort that makes a good introduction to Georgia with its relaxed atmosphere, spectacular architecture, plentiful accommodation, good restaurants and nightlife. Enjoy city tour that includes a visit to the central streets of the city, Batumi Boulevard and Piazza. Visit Batumi Botanical Garden – with semitropical and foreign species, the 1.13-sq-km gardens cover a hillside rising straight out of the sea and spend a couple of relaxing hours in this peaceful place and enjoy impressive views over the Black Sea. Day 13 - Batumi – Tbilisi by train

Transfer from Batumi to Tbilisi by train. Meet and greet at the train station. Hotel accommodation and overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 14 - Departure
